Well, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll know about the issues I have with finding the right brush for Nova. Her hair is so fine and soft that every brush I have tried is basically useless.

Ages ago, I saw on social media that people were using a plastic static pet hair collector to brush their rabbit. I set out to look for one, but they were only online. I didn’t want to get a $2 thing from an online shop with $15 postage. So, I waited until I could find one.

While I was away I went into a variety store, I can’t say it was a “cheapy shop” but it definitely had a variety of things. Of course I went straight to the pet section where they had dog leads, collars, toys… hmmmm

Then I saw it.

Now I know, this is a pet hair remover for clothes that you throw in the washing machine to collect the pet hair.

But, people have used this thing on rabbits to statically remove their loose hair. If it works on clothes, it should work on bunnies…

I laugh when I read the cardboard label on the packaging:

❝ Removes pet hair while washing in the washing maching. ❞

I tried it on Buttons. He is in the middle of a moult again, so the yard looks like it has snowed. It worked OK, but I had to rinse it under the tap all the time because it stopped working if there was too much hair on it.

I couldn’t try it on Nova, she ran away after she smelled it.

It’s Snowing!

I ended up brushing Buttons with the grooming glove. I removed 4 gloves worth of hair.

No wonder they call it shedding.

I could have made a jumper out of his hair…
