Maple is a very affectionate and caring bunny. She has attached herself to me so much that she follows me around. When I’m with her in her pen she will sit at my feet and I have to be aware of where she is at all times. I don’t want to stand on her.

She even follows me out of the pen when I’m about to close the door.

It’s Not My Eyes Going Crazy

Lunar's dorsal stripe is crooked

I have thought for a long time that it was my eyes playing up, and that Lunar’s dorsal stripe was crooked and didn’t follow his spine. It wasn’t my eyes, it doesn’t.

Together Again

I had been thinking for a few days that Maple and Lunar would like to be together again, even for a short time at irregular times throughout the day. I know that people say it should be 4-6 weeks after their operations that you put them back together, but I’ve decided to do what I think is right for my bunnies. I would never let any harm come to them. Also, they are siblings, they are used to being together. This would not work for bunnies that weren’t from the same litter.

On the afternoon of 9th of February I decided that Maple and Lunar could be together for a short time. I wasn’t sure what to do, whether to put Maple in with Lunar or vice versa, so I came up with the idea of opening both pens up and letting them figure it out.

I wasn’t sure if they needed to be re-bonded, because everything online said they would have to be.

I put them back in separate pens, but they wanted to stay together.

I had put them together off and on for a few days, both inside and outside in their pens. When it came to the full day they spent together they were really comfortable together. I separated them again for the night and they were OK with that, I guess because they are used to it.
