Even though they are all comfortable with each other, I was making efforts to make their transitions easier. I decided to swap litter boxes between the bunnies. I was a little concerned about Buttons and Lunar’s reactions to each other being male.

Buttons found Lunar’s litter box a little small.

Lunar and Maple were fine with the swap – Buttons’ hay was extra tasty.

I then let Buttons run around in their pen for about 10 minutes. Lunar and Maple were outside. Buttons wasn’t bothered about their stuff. He was more interested in the view they have.

Lunar watching Buttons

Lunar usually watches Buttons from afar, but now Buttons knows what it looked like from Lunar’s perspective.

The bunnies didn’t care about each other’s smell – which is something that is a huge concern online – I found that they don’t really care about smell, it’s more about “is the other bunny’s stuff better than what we have?”
