Well, I haven’t had an excuse to go to Bunnings for a long time – it has been many many months. But when our toilet cistern-floater-doo-dad broke I decided to go and get a new one. Of course, I did a bit of shopping too.
I had heard only good reports on the Paws and Claws 2-cat litter box (pictured) and rabbits using it. So, I got 2. You know… just in case… Anyway, I also got the replacement thing for the toilet and getting sick of looking at toilets of various types I decided to go to other shops.
I went to Cheap As Chips. I found that they also have the Paws and Claws brand and they also had the same litter boxes. I didn’t want to look at the price, just in case it was cheaper than Bunnings. (Of course I had to check now that I’m home and writing this: Cheap as Chips $29.00, Bunnings, $18.00. Glad I went with Bunnings!)
I had been thinking about hot days and rabbits with heat stroke, and I was researching whether it would be a good idea to get a dog bed-trampoline-thing for the rabbits. The type of bed that’s on metal legs and has a thin layer of canvas so the air circulates under them. And I found one, kind of like this one, but with flowers on it. So, I got it.
The last thing I found was a weird brush that I think will help with brushing Nova. It’s called the Microfibre Grooming Glove Towel. I looked that the little silicone comb-bits and they seemed to be close together and short, so I thought I’d give it a go.
Microfibre Glove Brush
I’m going to add this to the brush review page, but I thought I’d mention that the gloves are really huge and if you were to use the thing as a towel brush, your hands would slip out of them all the time. It would get really annoying, very quickly. I’m going to cut it in half and make a glove-mitten, with elastic around the top. I might even unstitch the edging and make it narrower, about the glove width. I’ll use the left over microfibre cloth for something else…
