Netherland Dwarf hair is thin, silky and short, but there’s a lot of it. That makes it really difficult to brush out with any shop-bought brush because the bristles are too long, too far apart or even the wrong shape.
I have always had trouble brushing Nova, because none of her hair comes out in generic brushes. I found that by pulling her hair out gently does the trick.
Ages ago I purchased two of these little brushes. I found that by putting one on my pointer finger and the other on my thumb, I can carefully pull out Nova’s hair. It is a long slow process, but she loves the attention and always purrs in response.
