Lunar in his litter box

Lunar was always a bit of a character. Before we realised his true sex, he would always be wild and free, nearly to the point of being crazy. We always joked that the name suited, Lunar/Loony.

Now we know who he is, he has changed into a quiet bunny, who is patient and kind. He also loves pats and cuddles – which is the biggest change of all. The change happened within an hour of his sex reveal. It was almost immediate. Even my sister and nieces saw the complete change in his behaviour and made comments about it. He is a new bun with a new outlook on life.

It is the strangest thing to see the personality of a nearly-3 month old not-fixed bunny change within minutes of realising she was a he.

He got a trimmed A4 paper box with a couple of folded layers of cling wrap in the bottom, which was covered in about 4 sheets of paper towel, then topped with a huge lump of hay.

He loved it. He spent most of his time in the box, because it had high sides and lots of fresh hay.

Lunar and Maple made quite a mess over night, which I would have to clean up in the morning. Poops everywhere. Now they are separated, both Maple and Lunar nearly perfected the use of the litter boxes, within three days.
