My partner’s Mum was struggling to keep the kittens in one place. So, we decided to pack them up and look after them for a while, until they were weaned.

We popped them into the carry boxes and took them home. Bubby went in one carry box, and the kittens went in the second one.
Once we arrived home, I put the carry boxes into the pen and waited until the kittens and Bubby went exploring. I left the kittens’ carry box in there for a couple of days, giving them a place to hide.

They were very friendly and playful. Even Bubby ended up loving me.

As soon as Bubby and her kittens were in the pen, Bella came to check them out.
She didn’t like it much and she spent a lot of time staring at them from a distance.

Over the following days, we let Bubby roam around freely. We also spent a lot of time with the kittens.

Bella didn’t like Bubby in her house, which is totally understandable.

Bella spent a lot of time with me, and staring at the kittens.

The only thing was, Bubby tore huge holes in the pen. I hot glued new pet-safe mesh onto the tears but that didn’t even stop her. Somehow she magicked herself out of the pen and I often found her roaming around the house in the morning.
The kittens stayed in the pen, which was brilliant, because I didn’t want to have to “herd kittens” every morning.
