Saying Farewell to Whiskey was difficult, but it was the best thing. A few days later it was decided to start looking for a new little companion. We found Coffee.

A seven-week old bundle of pure love and happiness. I have never seen such a happy bunny before. She is so healthy and full of life.

These pictures were from the online ad.

We weren’t sure which one we wanted to get. We decided on the way to go with our gut and work it out when we meet both of the rabbits.

We arrived and had a cuddle of both bubbas. The three babies were in a fabric pen similar to this one, with a litter box and water. A huge black dog was running around inside and barking, which the bubbas didn’t really like, but they were used to it.

They huddled together, keeping out of the way.

The lady who was selling them said she suspected that the black one and the lighter coloured one were girls, while the more orangey one was a boy.

She was keeping the boy for her sister. He was really cute.

We could choose between the two girls.

In my typical fashion, I asked to see the parents.

The father, a white lop, was gorgeous. He loved pats. He was so gentle and loving. I could have patted him for hours and he would have enjoyed every second of it.

The mother, a black Nethy Dwarf was “a bit skittish” and ducked away.

Of course my camera focused on the bars instead of the rabbit. I didn’t want to spend too much time taking photos of the parents, so I had to put up with the blurry photo of the mother.

We went back inside to choose the bubba.

Meet Coffee.

Born on the 16th May, the same as Mushroom and Buttons.

She is so much like her father that she was not stressed to be taken away from her siblings, and she also fell asleep with her leg out while bouncing around in the car.

She had zero-cares.

We had set up her cage inside. She has Buttons’ old litter box with a mix of grass, oaten and lucerne hays in it. She gobbled the lucerne down as fast as possibly could.

We gave her Science Selective Junior pellets which she ate like they were the best thing.

She bounced, binkied and zoomied around rocking the cage on its stand.

She is the most cuddliest, softest sweetest bun I have ever met. She is a lot like her father.

Although, when you press the “party” button she is a cheeky, playful, happy, bouncy girl who makes us laugh so much.

The way she flicks her ears, leaps into the air and spins around is priceless.

She also looks at you and thinks about what is happening. She will sit and stare at you clearly thinking about her next move.
