Because our application for the new house was accepted, have been needing to downsize pets. We didn’t want to re-home the quails, but we had no choice. We couldn’t take them to the new house. 

We advertised them on Gumtree, and lots of people were interested; but most were scams. One lady was really interested in them, and came to pick them up in the dark at about 7pm at night. She shoved them into a long wooden box with a sliding opening, collected their water and food dishes and strapped the cage to the back of their ute and drove away. She really didn’t say much, although her husband told me that they breed budgies and have a few quails. I suppose they went to a good home.
