A few days later I put their pens closer together. Coffee and Hamish were so happy to meet each other through the mesh of their pens. Neither of them were intimidated or scared.
Hamish wishing he had a bigger litter box.
The cutest little big bunny. He has one floppy ear.
The most relaxed little big bunny.
Hamish loves sleeping in a cocoon of blankets.
Coffee and Hamish spent some time outside together (in separate pens).
Hamish ate a lot of grass. Coffee didn’t.
I have noticed that Coffee doesn’t eat grass. I put it down to him not seeing his parents eat grass, because they were kept in a tiny hutch with minimal hay. They never saw real fresh grass because the tiny backyard was fake plastic grass.
Hamish on the other hand has grass, digging and eating roots down pat. He has more rabbit traits than Buttons, Nova and Coffee – even more than Maple and Lunar. It is definitely down to how the parents are treated and fed.
